How To Use:

  • Go to Google Takeout and follow the instructions to create an archive of your data.

  • Only the Hangouts options is needed to selected here.

  • After Step 1 and 2, you should have a zip file called "takeout-XXXXXXXXXX.zip"

  • Extract the zip and find the "Hangout" folder inside the "Takeout" folder.

  • Upload the "Hangouts.json" file and you're all set!

Note: Hangout Reader only reads the file you upload and makes its content inside more presentable. It doesn't violate your privacy as nothing is uploaded or saved in any external server.
